David Fish

Owner & Lead Photographer

Originally from Salem, Oregon, David moved to Boise in 1991 to attend Boise State University, where he played on the golf team. His photography journey started on the sidelines of his sons' flag football games, and in 2013, he turned that passion into a career when his realtor brother-in-law needed a photographer. Six months of obsessive self-teaching later, Blu Fish Photography was born.

David's eye is drawn to light and drama — the way natural light pours through windows and interacts with a space to create mood. He's a sucker for a backlit one-point composition and golden-hour twilight shots. When he's not shooting listings, you'll find him photographing Marriott hotels as an Approved Marriott Photographer or chasing elk with a compound bow. At home, David and his wife Angela are raising three kids — two sons (one still playing college football) and a daughter. Together they spend as much time as possible camping in Idaho's backcountry, the more remote the better.

Chad Doty

VP of Media Operations & Sr. Photographer

Chad grew up in the small farming community of Colfax, Iowa — though he'll tell you he's from Des Moines. A trip to Mount Rushmore at age 10 sparked a lifelong love of photography that carried him through college, where he earned degrees in both graphic design and photography. He moved his family to the Treasure Valley in 2017 after his wife was offered a professorship at Boise State.

With over a decade of real estate photography experience, Chad brings a clean, sharp minimalist approach to every shoot. He doesn't want any scene to look too busy — his goal is letting the viewer soak in the fundamental elements of a property. When he's not behind the camera, Chad's riding bikes with his kids, camping, fishing, and cheering on college football.

Kyle Santee

Photographer

Kyle's path to photography started with a Zillow listing and a thought: I could take better pictures than this. So he bought a Nikon, dove into YouTube, and launched his own photography business four months later. Originally from Philadelphia, Kyle honed his skills in North Carolina before making the move to Idaho in late 2025 to join the Blu Fish team.

Kyle has a deep appreciation for architecture, especially the charm and character of older historic homes. His approach centers on reading each space — finding the angles that work best based on natural light flow and room layout. When he's not shooting, he's golfing, hiking the Greenbelt, or hanging out with his two kids.

Lakoda Schildhauer

Photographer

Born and raised in Boise, Lakoda has had a camera in his hands for as long as he can remember. What started as capturing everyday moments turned into a serious passion by high school, and his love of architecture and design made real estate photography a natural fit. He thrives on adaptability — reading each property's unique layout and adjusting his approach to bring out its best qualities.

Lakoda has a particular eye for staged properties, where he can get creative without distractions and really have fun with composition. When he's not shooting listings, he's working on film projects — music videos, short films, commercials — or exploring the outdoors and traveling to new places. A self-described people person, Lakoda genuinely enjoys meeting new clients and hearing their stories.
